The Carrera was one of Jack Heuer’s most passionate projects, and his design ethos for this watch can be summed up in one word: legibility.
Jack wanted a watch that was stylish and functional - a watch that gives you everything you need and nothing you don’t.
This particular example is a neo-vintage Reference WV2113 Carrera GMT dating to the late 1990s, and offers a blend of vintage styling with contemporary functionality. With a vintage-sized 35mm stainless steel case and an acrylic crystal, its silhouette is a near-perfect match from the early 'long lug' Carreras of the 1960s. It features a luminous glossy black dial with a silvered, graduated rehaut, 24-hour scale, 'railroad' minute track, applied 'Arabic' indices, matching luminous handset and a red-tipped GMT hand.
Powered by a self-winding movement with a date and GMT function, we've fitted this beauty to a Salvia Green Ralstra Strap with matching buckle giving this 1990s Carrera a properly 'retro-mod' look.
Under the radar and offering a tremendous value, these wonderful Carrera GMTs from TAGs back catalog are some of our very favorite 'IYKYK' timepieces!
